Smokey Robinson‘s camp says the sexual assault lawsuit filed by 4 former housekeepers is stuffed with lies, and purely designed to squeeze cash out of the Motown legend.
Robinson’s legal professional Christopher Frost tells TMZ … “As this case progresses, the proof (the essential ingredient that guides us) will present that that is merely an ugly methodology of attempting to extract cash from an 85-year-old American icon — $50 million, to be actual.”
He goes on to name out the plaintiffs and their attorneys, saying, “Via this course of now we have seen the weird theatrics of yesterday’s information convention, because the plaintiffs’ attorneys outlined vile, false allegations in opposition to Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, attempting to enlist the general public as an unwitting participant within the media circus they’re attempting to create.”
As we reported, the accusers — who’ve filed as Jane Does — claim Robinson raped them multiple times while they were working for him. They are also suing his longtime wife Frances Gladney Robinson … alleging she knew about his actions, and did nothing to protect the employees.
Frost says Smokey himself will reply in his personal phrases, and they’ll file a movement to dismiss the lawsuit, whereas addressing “quite a few facets” of the allegations that “defy credulity in addition to points regarding purported timelines, inconsistencies, and relationships between the plaintiffs and others.”
He provides, “We ask anybody following this case to order judgment because the proof involves mild and all of the precise info of the case unfold.”
